Ravencoin miners rebuild the chain after invalid blocks were accepted

Two pools controlling most of the hash rate are mining from the last valid block, putting several days of deposits, withdrawals and payments at risk of reversal.

Two mining pools, 2Miners and RavenMiner, control a majority of Ravencoin's current hash rate and are rebuilding from block 4,487,775, the last block before the exploit. If that chain becomes the accepted history, transactions confirmed on the displaced branch can disappear.

Deposits and withdrawals since Friday are unsettled

The project told exchanges not to assume that reversed deposits or withdrawals will automatically return or be confirmed again. Some transactions may re-enter the mempool and be mined on the rebuilt chain, but the notice says that outcome is not guaranteed.

RVN fell about 20% as the warning circulated, according to Decrypt's Aug. 11 market snapshot. The more durable consequence is ledger uncertainty: users and venues need the accepted chain tip, their transaction status and any credit decisions reconciled before treating balances as final.
